This photo of Jose Maria Sison was taken in 1986 by Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala, art photographer and head of the Ayala business empire. It is one of the many photos of Sison taken by Ayala in connection with his photographic book on the Edsa uprising. Sison had just come out of fascist prison then. He was invited by Ayala through Sison´s brother-in-law Vicente Aquino (husband of Corazon Sison), who was then president of the Bank of Philippine Islands.
